Fourth Grade Pen Pals with Sergeant Harris

September 20, 2019

The 4th graders are now pen pals with Sergeant Harris (Maliyah's dad) who just deployed to Iraq with the Army. We sent him a care package of his favorite treats that was delivered by Maliyah when she and her mom went to Texas to say goodbye to him. On 9-11 the kids made signs and we sent him this picture. The signs say “Thank you for protecting and keeping us safe. 4th grade SABCS.” He has already emailed us back a thank you from Iraq! In the future we will be making cards to send him via the mail. Plus we'll be emailing him pictures of class events. He will send us pictures as he can too. We pray for all of our military, especially Sergeant Harris, during Bible time each week.
